It is even more true today than it was over two years ago. It is Time...past Time to do away with the Bush Tax Cuts and give the 80% + of the people the break that they deserve.

Nor only did the currently thoroughly corrupt supreme court take upon itself, not once, but twice, to over-rule the electoral results the people had legitimately approved, and instead selected George W.Bush II, the worst president in our nation's history, now it has approved equally unconstitutional privileges on the ultra-wealthy and the mega-corporations do donatensuch huge amounts that the individual voter's input i meaningless.

Vote Now On Ending Bush Tax Cuts For The Rich
The verdict is in on all the tax cuts for those who did not need tax cuts during the economy decimating Bush years. Not only did they not stimulate the economy, which has done nothing but tank under their weight, but then have in fact only resulted in a further wealth transfer to America's corporate elite. The richest have just gotten richer, as if they needed any help.

The top 20 percent of Americans now control a gargantuan 83 percent of America's wealth (with 40 percent of wealth in the hands of the top 1 percent of the population). The bottom 40 percent of our people are such an insignificant sliver (with at TOTAL of 0.3% of our country's wealth), that you need a magnifying glass to even see them on the graph. The INEQUALITY of wealth distribution in America now rivals the situation just prior to the Great Depression.

Is anybody in Congress even remotely paying attention to history. The last time this happened was in the months PRIOR to the Great Depression!!

There is no excuse for extending these unwise and budget busting handouts to those who need it the least. And there is even less excuse for delaying a vote in Congress to end these "get out of tax free" cards for those already pocketing more than a quarter of a million dollars a year. We urgently need to get buying power back in the hands of the majority of the American people, or else our entire economy is going straight down the drain.

Isn't it time that we deal with what will help the people and stop the outrageous favors to Big Business who it appears is running our country? Our constitution states, for the people, by the people and of the people. Let's get back to basics.

UNLESS WE GET SOME MONEY IN THE HANDS OF WORKING PEOPLE AND RECLAIM THE MONEY FROM THE CORPORATIONS AND THE RICH ELITE, THAT WAS GAINED THROUGH ILLEGAL ACTIONS AND CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY, WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A DEPRESSION THAT WILL MAKE THE NEXT ONE LOOK LIKE A PICNIC AND YOU KNOW IT!! DO SOMETHING OR THE ENTIRE WORLD ECONOMY IS GOING TO BE DESTROYED!

CAPITALISM IS BROKEN AND CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY GO UNCHALLENGED. AS WELL AS PUTTING MONEY BACK IN THE HANDS OF THE WORKING POOR, THE GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO PROSECUTE THE PEOPLE AND COMPANIES THAT KILLED PEOPLE, DESTROYED THE ENVIRONMENT AND TOOK MASSIVE AND UNCALLED FOR PROFITS AT THE EXPENSE OF THE ENTIRE WORLD ECONOMY.

UNLESS WE ESTABLISH A FAIR WAGE FOR ALL WHO WORK, CAPITALISM CAN NOT BE SUSTAINED. THE VALUE OF A STOCK MUST BE CALCULATED NOT ONLY BE PROFIT BUT ALSO BY VALUE TO SOCIETY. THE WORLD HAS LOST IT'S MORAL COMPASS. WE CANNOT CONTINUE TO LET COMPANIES AND PEOPLE MAKE PROFITS OFF CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY OR THERE IS NO HOPE FOR THE SURVIVAL OF MANKIND.

THE GOVERNMENT MUST HAVE ENOUGH CONTROL OVER COMPANIES AND THE ELITE RICH TO PREVENT THEM FROM DESTROYING THE ECONOMY. YOU MUST PASS LAWS TO DO THIS OR DEMOCRACY AND CAPITALISM ARE DEAD.

Our country was established to be ruled By The People. The wealthy elite 2% are ruling our country - end the discrepancy and be fair in the distribution of taxation.

I'm not sure of tax breaks given the rich. What I am sure of is that the American people should gather and DEMAND*vote* our millionaire Senators and Representatives return the Cost of Living Allowance raises they have taken throughout this 1st decade of 21st Century!* This would make a nice payment on the debt these idiots have charged.
In 1990 they made $98,000.00. In these last two decades they have nearly DOUBLED their salaries...WHY, did they all flunk Econ in High School? Not to mention ETHICS in college. These people are robbing the American middle-class blind. Then they tell the IRS to come take homes away from some.
We baby-boomers grew up hearing about the Great Depression our parents grew up in. How is it possible that our leaders have brought us back to this same miserable place where 1% of the population own 40% of every dollar in America! And the American Masses owing TRILLIONS from ignorant spending!

To extend the bush tax cuts for the wealthy for even one minute will be destructive to our country. I urge you, the Congress, to stand strong and not cave in to pressure from either the Republicans or thier lobbyists.

The Republicans cannot have it both ways - they cannot continue to complain about the size of the deficit and demand a hand-out in the form of a tax break financed by taking on more debt.

To whom it may concern:
The very wealthy individuals in this country have been on a joy ride the last decade, paying less than their fair share of taxes. Our country has suffered as a result. I realize there are many of your constituents who feel that there are too many give-away programs, but they also forget about the crumbling infrastructure that we will all have to pay for soon enough. The poor in this country can ill-afford to make equal payments, and there is great suffering in the ranks of the lower paid in this country. With the magnitude of the unemployed these days, many more families are sinking into the very low income ranks,
Remember the end of the story: "How much land does a man need?"

There are a lot of poor people in the United States. The high income people need to help us get out of debt. I don't know who decided to borrow money from China to pay for the Iraq war. If taxes were raised to pay for it that war would have been stopped before it started. If they had a mandatory draft there would have been an uprising and it would have stopped the war in its tracks. But no, money was borrowed and taxes were lowered and the media was restricted from showing all of the dead soldiers coming back from the war. So it was hard to complain about this war and the huge spending. Now we are facing a huge debt. We were lied to about Iraq. Iraq had nothing to do with 911 and our leaders knew it. Our leaders knew Iraq did not have weapons of mass destruction. The purpose of the war was because we wanted to get at Iraq's oil and because our country has a penchant for wanting to tell other countries what to do. Is that imperialism? I don't know but common sense tells you that a war should never be waged that depends on borrowed money. If you can't pay for it from taxes then no war, it's that simple. One party is accused of "tax and spend" but "tax and borrow" is the same thing but worse because rather than take the responsibility on ourselves we put it on our children and we put valuable programs like social security, health care, and medicare in danger.

The combined defense budget of all of the other countries in the world equals the defense budget of the United States which is $700 billion a year. How can this bankrupting defense budget be justified? If we divert that funding instead to developing alternative energy we won't have to be invading other countries and risking the lives of our young citizens and killing innocent people in other countries. Along with taxing the rich our military budget should be cut by 10% every year for the next 12 years and bring the troops home from all over the world. Then we should create alternative energy jobs with the money saved by giving grants to companies who make alternative energy equipment and tax incentives to individuals who want to have solar power, wind power, and other alternative energy power. The grants and incentives they have for individuals now are laughable. I would have to take out a $37,000 loan (the rebates are pitiful) for a solar power system and even with a small home it doesn't cover all of my usage. It is just out of range for average families. It needs to be made much much cheaper.

The Repugnicans have declared war on those living in the poverty level.....support those that would tax the rich MORE than the 30-some % they used to pay..end the Bush tax-loop-hole/bailout for the wealthy.

It seems to me grossly unfair, and in fact, harmful to extend the Bush tax cuts to the wealthiest one percent of Americans. This will increase the deficit by some 700 billiondollars overthe next ten years and will do nothing to relieve the unemployment crisis.

The entitlement attitude of wealthy Americans must be challenged, so that the costs of a well-functioning government are shared more fairly. Tax breaks fatten corporate profits and executive compensation. The economy will improve when all people have money to spend.

Republicans howl in protest when there is any hint of some action that redistributes wealth more broadly, but they never object so long as it is moving upward.

During the last 10 years the rich have grown richer to the tune of over 250% while the median worker is less than 10%. There is nothing right about that! Additionally, the tax law is constructed such that wages for working are taxed at a higher rate than earnings from investing! The whole design here is to surpress the advancement of the those not in the upper class. This is not right!!! TERMINATE the tax breaks for (AT LEAST) the upper 3%!!!

If taxes were truly proportionate and applied to real income, with those in the top income brackets paying their fair share, we could easily make a substantial downpayment on the national debt.

Tax cuts for the rich while two wars being fought and the country is reeling from recession is insane public policy. Rich people don't care about jobs being created, while the middle class continues their descent into joblessness and poverty. Our country is in crisis. It is time the wealthy pay their share and stop bellyaching.

I'm beginning to understand the mind set of the French Revolution. We need an Economic Revolution here. Only government intervention will work since Big Capitalism is incapable of policing itself. Corporate welfare keeps Big Capitalism alive but they scream like stuck pigs when asked to pay their fair share. It is sickening.

END BUSH TAX CUTS FOR THE RICH.

Lets help the country. Taxes helped make it the greatest nation of our times. Don't be greedy and pay your share.
Money you will always have when you are that rich.

We must get serious about reducing the deficit and spending. Allowing the expiration of tax 'refloef' for the wealthy is a great step in the right direction to achieve these goals.
The last 10 years are evidence that the wealthy will not 'create' jobs if their tax rate is 35% or 39%.
