Some have tried to nitpick this first study for its methodology, but it cannot be denied that there is something going on here that we need to be informed about. In the era of genetic modification, just one aspect of knowing the truth means seeing it in product labeling. Labels should describe all ingredients, and whether they are modified, organic, or inorganic. On Saturday, June 1, 2013, at 12 Noon, I attended the second annual "CHICAGO VEGGIE PRIDE PARADE" in Grant Park, Balbo and Columbus. Even though I am not a total vegetarian/vegan per se, I do find merits in that healthy and environmentally sound lifestyle--and also enjoy the delicious vegetarian/vegan foods. The parade participants promoted non-genetically modified organisms (GMOs)/truly sustainable foodstuffs. The U.S. Congress should immediately pass full GMO food content disclosure--the mandatory labeling of all foods containing GMOs.
