I, like almost everyone, am tired of nothing getting done in the Senate and Congress due to ridiculous antics like filibusters. If the legislators do not want to do anything, then it is time for them to move out of office and stop wasting time and money.

People who collect PAY for a job, are required to DO that job. These repugnicans are phonies, and are ruining our country. They have no shame. They have no brains. The most disgusting group I've ever seen.

The filibuster may have had some reasonable justification in the past. For years - and especially today - it is an anomaly and a blatant obstruction to effective governing.

I urge you to rise to this opportunity to help make the Senate work better. Abolish the filibuster now.

It's time to change the filibuster rules to require the senator filibustering to actually stand and speak for the duration of the filibuster.

The US Senate has not been able to do it's work because of an unreasonable rule that requires 60 votes to pass any bill and because of the abuse of the "secret" filibuster. This must not be allowed to continue. Too much needs to be done by the Senate. Reforming the House of Representatives will have to wait for the 2014 election. I just hope all the voters have been keeping up with how their representative has voted on each bill, so they will know how they want to vote in the 2014 election. You see, you have to go by what they actually do, not by what they say they do! You may be surprised by some of the votes of your favorite representatives. It is easy to check who voted for what when the votes were individually tabulated because it is always a part of the Congressional Record and available to the public.

The ONLY way we will ever fix the filibuster is to GET RID OF HARRY REID. He is a complete failure at being leader of the Senate. He is weak, spineless and has no balls.

We need to move forward, and this can't happen with the filibuster being abused by the Tea party crowd.

The obstructionism is beyond petty! No ATF head in nearly a decade. No Consumer Protection head because they hate Elizabeth Warren. No real reasons, that should disqualify the filibusters. Either that, or put one-fourth of the Senate in a rubber room!

Republican filibustering has hampered the confirmation of numerous Democratic nominees proposed by the Obama Administration and must be stopped.

Enough is enough. We need a giant mule to kick out the obdurate and non-working members of congress.

Our elected representatives seem to be employed by corporations and government no longer works for us on Main Street. We need help now.

Filibuster strategies are not serving any US citizen and are games employed soley for the use of upper hand power tactics. Kid rid of the games, better yet get rid of the poor Republicans in government.

It is a travesty that judicial appointments are sitting without action for so long.

It's time to fix gridlock in Washington and one of the main problems is the Filibuster. End it!

The House of Representatives has become a laughing stock here and abroad. If the Republican reps will not allow Obama to staff his government, they leave no alternative. I just pray the next election throws out those currently bought and controlled by corporations and elects men and women dedicated to redressing the wrongs in our country and setting things right.

The GOP refusal to do anything bi-partisan has effectively stopped legislation in its tracks. The legislation that is flailing under this unimpressive treatment is important legislation that can help many many people, such as students, employees, employers, and most importantly children.

For the past 30 years the United States Federal and state governments have been under increasing attack by Totalitarian Plutocrat's that have so much money that reshaping the world in what their version their of utopia is, with them deciding weather your children will even be educated or not. We must do whatever it takes to stop the Koch brothers and all like them. Words like freedom and liberty will only be words that we will no longer us to describe this country if we don't wake up and stop this. Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid, and House Minority Speaker: Nancy Pelosi need to change the rules now. At this time it is our only way to gain back some of the power of the people taken from the people by the GOP/ Tea Party for those in the name and for the power of the one percent. IE. The Koch brothers. " We must stop them, and their huge freedom destroying propaganda machine now" Lets hope they for once follow-through until the job is done and show some back-bone for President Obama to follow. We can no longer be nice and turn the other cheek Mr. President.

requiring a super-majority for routine daily operation does not serve the nation.

A "real," talking filibuster is an acceptable legislative tool, enabling the minority to call attention to a particularly troublesome issue. Such a filibuster tends toward integrity, because the legislator must stand up and make his or her case vocally and visibly. The legislator has skin in the game, and is accountable for his/her position.

But the fake filibuster as now exists in Washington is the opposite: it allows the minority to quietly and anonymously scuttle the will of the majority. It requires no honor, no integrity. Particularly galling is that the very dysfunction resulting from the anonymous filibuster is later used as "proof" that the majority does not have solutions. Such filibustering reeks of cynicism, of politics played for personal gain, of self-entitlement. It produces the opposite of mature, honest disagreement and discussion. This form of "filibuster" should be removed from the legislative toolbox. If a legislator is unwilling to make the case publically, at some real personal effort, he or she should not have carte blanche to derail the public's affairs.
