They are comprised of people who have brought together capital in order to increase that capital at the cost of all else. In fact, it is the first legal duty of these managers to increase the revenue and profit for investors. Corporations have a much needed place in our economy and society. However, they are essentially immortal, have relatively unlimited funds if they have been successful and grown enough to hire teams of attorneys to protect their plans, and lobbyists to increase profits and pass off as many costs as possible to those who suffer the external costs they often knowingly pass off to their neighbors, workers and too often, unsuspecting citizens who live far from their facilities. It is well known by those who study business law, as I have, that the courts originally denied Corporations the same right to personhood as individuals. In fact Corporations were originally allowed to form only for a specific purpose, which benefited the citizens of this country and had to dissolve once that purpose had been served. The way they became people in the eyes of the law, was by a clerical error made by the clerk of the court after being struck down by the judiciaries. The name of the case and the clerk who was persuaded to change the judges decision is well documented as we studied it at length in business law at Cal State University in the 1980's. This clerical error was never challenged nor corrected and these soul less immortal behemoths have been using it to the ultimate destruction of our equal and free America ever since.
