The public has been left completely in the dark (except for occasional leaks). In fact, it is currently illegal for the press, experts, advocates, or the public to review text of the agreement. Members of Congress may read the text of the agreement, they are prohibited by law from discussing the specifics of the text in public. If you think as I do that that is wrong, here's the kicker: if the Obama administration gets what it wants, Congress won't even get a chance to thoroughly debate TPP before it becomes the law of our land. That's because with the full backing of the White House, our House and Senate are taking up bills to give President Obama "fast track" powers (aka TPA, trade promotional authority). If Congress gives President Obama fast track power, our elected policy makers would not be allowed to make any amendments whatsoever.
