It is what the people need. ********** [021828:071315] J.B., Springfield, PA When we are unemployed due to TPP look out, your time in office will end. We will vote the greedy Congress and Senate out of office. ********** [160909:062815] S.W., Westminster, MD STOP THE TREASONOUS TPP! ********** [162618:062215] h.d., Fort Lauderdale, FL Reject Fast Track For TPP ********** [082139:061715] M.M., Sebastian, FL TPP is treason. We will be watching you.... ********** [072505:061715] T.H., Minneapolis, MN Stop Fast Track!!! ********** [225700:061515] A.W., Wishon, CA There is NO reason to keep the T.P.P. secret, nor FAST TRACK it unless there is something the 1% Corporations who will benefit from it don't want the public to know. If there is not unfair/low wage labor and dangerous environmental practices then make the proposed agreement public prior to a PUBLIC DEBATE about it, before VOTING on it. ********** [184754:061515] P.C., Dania, FL We deserve better of our representatives than having them pass secret trade deals for which we will have to pay the price. ********** [102132:061515] F.N., Port Townsend, WA Improving trade relations should not come at the cost of citizens in the participating countries losing their rights to create and enforce environmental, health, safety, etc. standards that may affect that trade. Most, if not all, of that TPP provisions should be made public, so that informed debate on it may be held. ********** [200415:061415] C.H., Peyton, CO Stop TPP - your constituents don't want it and are watching how you vote! Stop working for the corporations and start working for American workders! ********** [193257:061415] D.M., Downingtown, PA This trade deal seems to be just another way to drive another nail into the coffin of the American dream. Stop it! Our elected official (you) really need to start acting in OUR best interests, not in the interests of the corporations. If you vote for this, we will make it our JOB to take you out of YOURS. Work for US, not for the corporations. ********** [190350:061415] J.G., Covington, GA Do not pass this or I will vote against you. ********** [165308:061415] b.h., Cranford, NJ Way too much backdoor negotiations. Where is the transparency of what would transpire if this was yo go through. Rather surprised that President Obama, who I voted for, what do such a thing. Enough. ********** [145438:061415] L.P., Ceresco, MI Please vote no on the TPP and any other legislation that relates to it's passing. ********** [123420:061415] J.B., Arlington, WA The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) is an anti-democratic trade agreement that will cut some of the world's poorest people off from being able to afford life-saving medication, take away diplomatic tools that could act as leverage against misogynistic laws in partner countries and allow foreign corporations to sue U.S. federal, state, or local governments at World Bank tribunals over any regulations that prevent their business interests from meeting their profit "expectations." We know this from leaked sections of the treaty, but even the leaked sections can't be discussed in Congress as they're still considered "classified." The GOP and Democrats who are pro-unfair trade law TPP are so desperate that they included Medicare cuts to pay for the law that funds training for people who lose their jobs due to TPP. This was a cynical ploy to get Democrats who want the training act to vote for TPP which creates the lost jobs in the first place, and to pay for it with Medicare funds !!! We voters are not fooled by this aggressive action against the best interests of the common citizen. Here are three things Congress could do: The House and Senate intelligence committees have the power to declassify any document in their possession if they believe that doing so would serve the public interest. Any individual Member of Congress could publish-e.g., by entering into the Congressional Record-a portion of the draft TPP negotiating text, as Republican Congressman Darrel Issa did when he published the intellectual property chapter. Members of the House who have not yet committed to vote no on Fast Track could pledge to vote no on Fast Track if the text of the TPP is not made public before the vote. ********** [080023:061415] P.A., Los Angeles, CA PLEASE vote NO....Thank you. ********** [070155:061415] s.a., Manchester, NH To Senators and Representative of the State of NH Fast Track has been voted with NO it didn't pass, there should be respect to only one voting. The same counts in Senate, the first vote was clear. Why this gov has to repackage and sneak in things that would make the bill to change vote, I consider this a manipulation in favor of those who want it, not on democratic principles. It's a shame what is happening in DC these days. I urge you again to stand firm and OPPOSE to Fast Track, don't give a single authority to 800 pages long secret agreements that will override federal and state laws, protect our state of NH, we need check and balance as the constitution says, no secret doors, the public needs to know. if you were elected by constituents you should be hearing their voice, not the voice of lobbyist and other elite. You are supposed to represent the folk of NH by which you were elected. - Please apply common sense you know Fast Track just as TPP is a the wrong thing to vote for. I thank you again to hear my and others voices and OPPOSE Fast Track again! ********** [002154:061415] C.L., Yorba Linda, CA This agreement will hurt the people of the US, we will lose jobs and have a tilt in trade deficits...to the negative. Represent us and vote no on TAA, TPA. ********** [183210:061315] L.P., East Dubuque, IL Please keep saying "NO" to this loss of our jobs and our democracy. Thank you. The people will get nothing out of this deal. Corporations will get it all. ********** [173816:061315] J.C., Ben Lomond, CA No secret deals. WE are a free country. Thank you ********** [171255:061315] E.W., Torrance, CA African Americans need Support NOT Loss of Medicare and Jobs. ********** [125440:061315] L.N., Brinnon, WA Corporations should be held accountable to the law of the lands wherever they operate. ********** [115836:061315] T.P., Free Union, VA If this is so great, it does not have to be secret. ********** [075808:061315] L.K., Spokane, WA Reject Fast Track For TPP In The House! ********** [111620:061215] R.A., Bensalem, PA The push for a yes or no vote on TPP will be an evil legacy. Ryan has attached a rider guaranteeing that transnational corporate profit trumps climate change commitments. The TPP will guarantee human self-extinction. It hard to understand politician's blindness to the massive wildlife die-offs in the Northeast Pacific and US and Canada adjacent territories. With plants and animals disappearing, how can anyone sensibly talk about TPP bringing jobs? Dead ocean zones, burned forests and drought don't create jobs! ********** Go Back |
