VOTE AGAINST THE TRANS PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP

When outsourcing corporations reduce our middle class to a third world level, who will buy their products?

It is ridiculous to think about losing more jobs to this....

While the dino-in-Chief is TPPing on US from on high, and calling it rain, let us not forget why, "...we,...", struggled against NAFTA, CAFTA, and all that came afta. The corporate structure's convolution's devolutionary direction doesn't need your support in dictating the extinction of humanity, large mammals, all life and the total destruction of Earth, yet, the evolution does, in order to stop them, your choice. It's not as bad as most, but, it should be better, it shouldn't: allow Corps. to dictate Gov'ts curtail their own environmental, OSHA, etc., laws, foster the increasing of the export of jobs to other countries, etc.. reality

NAFTA is rightfully blamed for sending scores of American jobs overseas, where manufacturing costs benefit corporate boards and their owners. Just like NAFTA, the TPP will continue to hurt the U.S. economy, by sending even more American jobs overseas, weaken tariffs, and further increase the gap between haves and have-nots. It's disturbing that the TPP was Fast Tracked in the first place, so now it's absolutely vital that Congress votes "No!" to this monstrosity and buries the TPP, for the benefit of American workers and our nation's economy.

This is quite simple: Guns sometimes kill people!

The TPP is an egregious piece of legislation that puts corporate interests far and away ahead of the public and far too much of great import at risk: including quality and manufacturing standards, the environment, workers, local economies and regulatory mechanisms (via the ISDS) and more. Worse yet this atrocity is being done without full transparency and with undue haste.

Please do NOT betray the interests of the people of YOUR country, or the wellbeing of the planet in supporting this bad legislation.

Too many pages of the TPP are not about free trade. They protect and expand drug and agribusiness monopoly power and prevent government from regulating abuse of people and the environment. The majority of the TPP is very bad law, enriching the very few at the cost of freedom, democracy, and the survival of our planet. You should be ashamed to have abdicated your duty.

This is a horrendous abdication of governmental responsibility. To think that multi-national corporations can tell Connecticut that we can't pass environmental protection laws, such as anti-Fracking, without paying the corporation fines for hurting their expected profits, is patently obscene.

This agreement writes international law without public input. It allows corporations to sue sovereign nations if regulations hurt corporate profits. It sets up an international court system. The international mega corporations are rushing into the international law vacuum and writing the rules for the rest of us. This is an outrageous usurpation of democracy and I hope that you will not allow it. This may be the most critical vote you cast as a representative of the people and the ramifications are likely to be immense.

The TPP is President Obama's attempt to "dominate the global economy." Those are his words. This is just the latest form of imperialism - the ugly American of the 60's will rear its ugly head again! America may never recover global respect because of this corporate grab for absolute world power over people's lives.

Again you are letting the big corporations buy you. It is no longer "Government by the People and for the People" it is Government BOUGHT by the Big CORPORATIONS and for the Big CORPORATIONS. How do you look at yourself in the mirror? Please do not send me your Form letter or e-mail.

I'm 93 years old and am disgusted by these ever-worsening, anti-worker, so-called trade deals. I served in the marines during WWII and am a lifelong union member.

I cannot, in good conscience, continue to support any Democrat who votes in favor of a secretive so-called trade deal, which promotes corporate interests over those of ordinary Americans (and citizens of other countries). This has become a critical issue for me--hits labor, health, and the environment (outsourcing of jobs, lower wages, cuts to Medicare, lack of country of origin labeling, tainted medicines, harmful toys, and setbacks to the environment).

I was outraged by Democrats who turned against average Americans in May and June of 2015. I know this included one of my two senators from California, who is making decisions for constituents without listening to those constituents.

We should not place with any president the power to make unilateral trade agreements. I don't understand why Congress would give up its power to debate, and keep secret from the American people, the content of the ever-more-disastrous TPP.

Please vote against the Trans Pacific Partnership. This benefits only the super wealthy, while middle-class America and the environment pay the ultimate price. Voting for this is treasonous, and such persons should be held acountable. This is not a republican or democratic issue, this is a human issue.

Trade agreements can be good for all parties, but the T
PP violates countries' sovereignty, cripples some legislation, prevents dissent, and permits untrammeled mis-use of legal attacks.

I believe this TPP trade agreement is the latest in a series of very bad trade deals for not only the American people, but for the people of our trade partners as well. Look at NAFTA. Not only did thousands of American jobs vanish, but so did the livelihoods of thousands of Mexican farmers (who flocked to the US in so-called illegal immigration in order to not die of starvation). We the people can do much better than enriching our elites.

To my fellow citizens:

The Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) must be stopped. This is not about Republican or Democrat. This is about two things: The Middle Class and Democracy

Firstly, democracy and the very sovereignty of every nation that signs this deal is at stake. Yep, you heard that correctly! Pretty frightening I must say. Are we really ready to make that decision? To trust our nation's very sovereignty to this deal that congress has already "fast-tracked." The TPP will establish a "World Court" with judges appointed by the corporations rather than by the democratically elected nation governments.
This means, the "very conflict of interest" type of judicial body would be ruling on cases between corporation and nations. If a nation has laws to protect it's citizen against some type of harmful product or unsafe manufacturing process or environmentally hazardous material, and a company is losing profits as a result, it may utilize this new world court system to sue a nation. How utterly ridiculous and absurd! Corporations would essentially rise to hold even more power than sovereign nations!

Secondly, the middle class has been shrinking for the past few decades. Preventing additional decent wage, middle-class manufacturing jobs from being sent off-shore must be a priority if our country is to once again be a place to be happy, healthy, and to live with dignity. I firmly believe that the middle-class is what made this country great, and history has thought us many things. The rise of the industrial revolution brought about many "sweat-shop" type jobs here in America. It was only through much struggle and reform did we see many chances occur to improve the condition of America's labor force. From FDR's New Deal to Clinton's NAFTA, we've witnessed our government take actions that have changed the course of economic history both domestic and abroad. Today, Wall-Street is posting record profits and CEO salaries have skyrocketed. Yet, if you look around each city in the United States, you will discover that people are really struggling to make ends meet. State and local governments are struggling to keep DMVs open and roads and bridges in working condition. Why haven't more earnings gone toward those who toil in the heat of the day and long hours into the night under often times grueling conditions? The state of many people's financial situation today resembles more closely to modern day wage slavery, than it does to economic freedom. Most of the earnings are going to the bankers/investment class who's idea of inconvenience is when the bar runs dry of their favorite bourbon or cognac. The big banks gamble with OUR money, and when they lose, they except the taxpayers to bail them out!

Any member of Congress who votes in favor of this abomination should be considered an absolute traitor to the country and constitution and be dealt with accordingly

WARNING: the TPP is the corporate elite's dream enabling foreign companies to side-step our American Legal System in any future conflict that would hurt corporate profit, such as current worker rights, pay-scale issues, battling food import tariffs that protect U.S. citizens, and blocking generic Rx availability. The TPP will make American sovereignty subservient to a global corporate court of law which should be seen for what it is: pure TREASON. Tell Congress to Vote NO on the TPP!

THIS SO-CALLED TRADE AGREEMENT WAS WRITTEN BY CORPORATIONS FOR CORPORATIONS. PRESIDENT OBAMA WANTS A LEGACY - ANY LEGACY - SO HE HAS CLOSED HIS EYES TO THE FACT THAT FOREIGN CORPORATIONS WILL BE WRITING OUR LEGISLATION AND OUR MIDDLE CLASS WILL DISAPPEAR COMPLETELY. THIS PACT ABSOLUTELY STINKS!

Greedy corruption has become the chief characteristic of the U.S. federal government. They steal our money with their outrageously high taxes, give it all to the wealthiest pigs around, the Federal Reserve System who then go out and get even more filthy rich by spending our money on weapons and all sorts of military excesses that are way overpriced all meant to terrorize the whole planet to further our stated plan for our own "New World
Order" which is meant to benefit only the richest people. Just look at the truths of 9/11 and the 2 wars that were desired to happen and you know how horribly ruthless these traitors are.

This treaty is a travesty of our own sovereignty. Anyone who votes for it betrays -- is a traitor -- to the people of our country. It does nothing to RAISE standards for the world's individuals and the environment. In fact, the opposite result is the logical outcome.

Our corporations win, big profits, exploiting other countries, do not have to pay for their damages to the environment and have no morals when it comes to low pay and dangerous conditions for their foreign workers. American worker's lose.
