They poison all of our bodies, neighboring non-poison crops for miles ad infinitum, our soil, and water. The irresponsibility of their usage is reprehensible, and will go down in history as one of the most haughty profit driven blunders of mankind. ********** [090925:032316] B.M., Bradenton, FL The failure to learn from past mistakes. Is evident in the GMO debate. Thoughout histiry the introduction of foreign spices. Into enviroments has had catastrophic consequences. ********** [141300:032116] L.M., Overland Park, KS NO GMOs. period. ********** [204056:032016] J.D., Sanborn, NY I deserve to be able to choose IF I would like to consume GMO's. We have the right to know! LABLE GMO's NOW! ********** [124951:032016] C.K., Smyrna, DE You can't tell me that printing on a label whether or not a food is GMO or not, is ANYWHERE NEAR as hard as analyzing the nutritional content, which is already on the label (without a big fight from anyone)! Therefore, it's all a big lie and a big scam, as usual. As Judge Judy is fond of saying: If it doesn't make sense, it's probably not true. I'm gonna fight 'em off! A seven nation army couldn't hold me back! ********** [011020:032016] D.B., Ojai, CA Taking peoples rights away, like the right to know what is in the food that we are eating is dangerous because When rights are taken away from the American People, That weakens Democracy. Please don't be a part of that. National polls show that nine out of ten Americans want the right know if their food contains GMOs. Regardless of age, income, education level or even party affiliation, Americans want the right to know what is in their food and how it was produced -- the same right held by citizens in 64 other nations. Monsanto is currently trying to pass a bill in congress to make it illegal for food manufacturing companies to put anything on their packaging that says GMO FREE. WHY? They are also trying to make it ILLEGAL for farmers NOT to use GMO seeds. WHY? Even worse, corporate lobbyists that used to work for Monsanto, DuPont and Big Tobacco wrote the language for the secret trade deal on behalf of the Obama administration! This is corporate dictatorship. IT IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!!! This is NOT democracy Shame on you. I DEMAND TO KNOW WHAT IS IN THE FOOD THAT I AM EATING. I will not vote for, or support in any way any politician (liberal or conservative) who supports allowing Corporations to keep secret what they are putting in our food. I will work tirelessly to do what ever I can to make sure we have complete GMO labeling including making donations to organizations dedicated to unseating these so called politicians who put corporate profit over the American People by blocking GMO labeling. ********** [221022:031916] S.I., Virginia Beach, VA Your actions and inactions regarding this and all related matters have been, are being and will be remembered by all of us who will live in the world that you are shaping with your decisions right now, as well as being on public record. We are all on it together. ********** [173339:031916] z.t., Indianapolis, IN If GMOs are harmless, what is the big deal with labeling on foods containing them? It is just another situation of rich getting richer with an additive that harms we, the people, and they don't want us to know what they have done. ********** [162552:031916] C.P., Bellevue, WA Prohibiting information to citizens? THAT belongs in the Middle Ages, not the 21st century! ********** [152536:031916] D.N., Deer Park, WA We have the right to know what our food is. ********** [152532:031916] r.f., New York, NY If the FDA doesn't protect the public, but acts for the big farming and pharmaceutical businesses, why do we have an FDA? It's our tax money being used to screw us...again: the Us of A is now a parliamentary oligarchy just like it was in 1776 - before it was the US of A. ********** [141244:031916] S.B., Deming, NM One or many states requiring disclosure does not violate anyone's rights or contradict any federal law. I'm not a big "state's rights" advocate, but this is exactly what the state laws are for. If people in that state want a restriction or requirement, they may have it. If it is too much inconvenience for the company, they don't have to trade in that state. Then, if enough people thought it was important, they would move there for the protection and all the ignorant fools could be together and all the forward-thinking would be together and stop all this fighting. Just because a bunch of rich, ignorant, selfish sadists want to have their way is no reason to impose it on everyone. Let them have their self-righteous programs in their poorly populated states and see how well they do. ********** [132158:031916] R.M., Jacksonville, FL Dear Sirs: I would respectfully ask that the you vote no on Amy piece of legislation allowing the use, sale, and distribution of genetically modified organisms, known as GMO's. At the very least, all goods containg GMO's should be labeled. Americans have the right to know what is in our food supply. I also want to thank Congress for voting no on the Monsanto sponsered DARK act. Sincerely, Roberta Miller ********** [103404:031916] E.S., Charlotte, NC Consumers have a right to know what we are buying and feeding our families. Let states require GMO labeling! ********** [101311:031916] H.S., Ellicott City, MD The very idea that a state could prohibit labeling that tells consumers what they are putting in their bodies is patently ridiculous. Consumers need to know what is in the food they are seating! ********** [100308:031916] M.K., Bethel Park, PA Nutrition is becoming more important as I grow older. You see I watched my Mom's decline as she grew older and I want to slow the process. I am eating less wheat because of decades of genetic engineering. And I want to know which other foods have been engineered. Please support GMO labeling. ********** [095813:031916] E.M., Brooklyn, NY I/we have to eat to live. We/I deserve to know what is in the food we/I put in my mouth. My State, New York, must be able to post what is in the food I eat as must all other States. If the companies/Monsanto is fighting this demand -- there must be good reason, thereby intensifying my demand. Label our food that contains GMOs. Immediately. ********** [074852:031916] T.M., Venice, CA GMO's are dangerous and unhealthy. The greed and unscrupulous mind set of the mass produced , for huge profit food industry in America is dangerous and unhealthy. They are feeding the American people unhealthy products and are afraid to tell us what is in them. The fact that they are hiding something is a huge danger sign. GMO's must be labeled or banned. ********** [003839:031916] J.R., Bonita, CA Let those who do not fear GMO's continue to choose them, and for those like myself who do not want to accept that side of chemicals, etc., that accompany the GMO crops, let us reject them. This is not like tobacco where just hiding the dangerous side effects will encourage consumption among users. This is hiding the dangerous side effects in otherwise safe products that most people need and want to consume. ********** [000635:031916] R.M., Arcata, CA Please listen to the 90% of Americans that want GMOs labeled, not corporations. ********** [233513:031816] M.S., Whitewater, CO EVERYONE has the right to know what they are putting into their bodies!! American 's health trumps corporate greed!! ********** [213033:031816] L.L., Temecula, CA The people producing GMO foods know well that if the public knows about it we will not consume it and the company's making it will lose big money. GMO's need to be listed on anything we consume as well as feeds for the animals we eat. Government stay out of our pantry's. It's out choice not yours as to what we eat, it's ours. Disclosure has to be required period. ********** [193817:031816] T.C., East Haven, CT Stand up for transparency in the food industry. We want to know what we are eating so we can choose wisely ********** [175857:031816] Z.B., Plant City, FL I have a right to know what's in my food.
