The Bush Administration Refuses to Call for the End to Innocents Dying in Lebanon and Israel
Once again the Bush Administration has refused to call for an unconditional cease-fire to stop the killing of innocents on both sides of this war. Condi Rice, when directly asked for such a declaration by the Lebanese Prime Minister, refused again to so. It's an amazing sight to see an American Secretary of State in a War Zone refusing to call for a cease-fire that would save innocent lives on both sides.

With this refusal, and the refusal of the Bush Administration to take on direct negotiations with ANY Middle East nation including Syria, we set the entire region of the Middle East on a manipulated collision course with the Religious Right, the only outcome of which would be the start of World War III.

This is a prospect, as reported by the Associated Press, that makes even Saudi Arabia and it's allies shiver in fear. Syria, the key player in between Iran and Hezbollah, has said the entries by Saudi Arabia and other countries mean nothing compared to direct negotiations with the USA. The Syrian Government considers the previous statements by the Bush Administration to be a substantial diplomatic slap in the face. Yet just two days ago, when the Syrian Foreign Minister was in Washington, he most empathically asked for direct talks between the two nations.

We must force the Administration to END their stubborn refusal to talk to the rest of the world and they must engage not only the three counties above but Iran and the Arab countries where we have relations with an eye to establishing permanent Regional peace talks, convened in the Middle East, to start a permanent Peace Effort. One effect will be to remove Iran as the potential power broker and stop their efforts to divide the Middle East on Religious lines.

We must overwhelm Capitol Hill with your letters and passion. Only that will cause the House and Senate to take this concept seriously. Please write your letter below and join our mail lists. It is your efforts to speak directly to your Representatives that will have impact.

The one click form below will send your personal message to all your government representatives selected below, with the subject "Call for an unconditional cease-fire in Lebanon and Israel."
