The difference between
an opinion & one that
counts(sm)
The People's Email Network exists to give you an avenue to more
effectively communicate with your legislative representatives. We take
no political
position on any of the questions presented. That is your
responsibility as a citizen.
Help us spread the word
about this resource to everyone you know.
If you are a webmaster, you can get a copy of this whole form for your website, and it will submit directly to all your members of Congress at once, just like the one here. All you have to do is download the zip file with two simple easy to use modules and drop them into your own pages. Join the coalition of the active!
Plus when you submit the form BELOW, it will also return the voice and fax phone numbers of your particular member of
the House of Representatives if you want to contact them in person too!
IS THE BANKRUPTCY BILL FAIR AND BALANCED?
Why don't you tell Congress where you stand?
Here, we'll make it easy for you. All you have to do is fill in one form now and with one
click we will send your personal message to both of your senators, your house representative too.
We'll even look them up based on your address and tell you who they are. Just a few simple words from you
mean more than any form letter can. Please read the question carefully to make sure your vote matches your comments.
The Senate voted to pass the bankrupty abuse prevention act. With
the exception of a minor rewording of the definition of "special
circumstances" and exempting totally disabled veterans,
every proposed amendment, including those attacking predatory
lending practices and corporate retirement fund theft was blocked.
If you think the bill should now be passed by the house (S 256) as well,
then vote
"Yes", otherwise if you believe it does not strike a fair balance
between the rights of consumers and
power of banks and credit card companies, then vote
"No". Feel free to address any additional issues in
your personal message.
Even if you don't think your particular representatives would agree with your position it is important for them to hear from you.

Mission Statement:
Our democracy is only as strong as the participation of the people.
Do your representatives only hear from you once every two or four years, assuming you vote at all?
There are members of Congress who publicly bemoan the fact that they don't hear from more of
their constituents more often. Our leaders are our generals in the political arena,
but we are their troops. They can't do battle for us against opposing interests
without being able to demonstrate our ongoing support. The People's Email Network
is constructed to facilitate communication with our elected officials.
By your participation you can establish that you are a voter who will call your
government to account at each successive election. Your views do count.
They will be heard. And most importantly, when you cast your votes in the
section above, be sure to use the ground-breaking input
functions of our website to also submit the email addresses of everyone you know. In this
way we can together mobilize the entire country to speak in the loudest possible voice.
