The difference between

The People's Email Network exists to give you an avenue to more
effectively communicate with your legislative representatives. We take
no political
position on any of the questions presented. That is your
responsibility as a citizen.
Help us spread the word
about this resource to everyone you know.
It is CRITICALLY IMPORTANT that every person who cares about the
direction our country is going in must communicate to Congress in every
way possible. The People's Email Network is dedicated to creating the
tools and functions to make that as EASY as possible so that the
maximum number of people actually follow through and do it. On the left
you see our instant Senate phone number lookup function. To get one
for your own page you can easily customize for your site Contact us now.
The People's Email Network is doing everything it can to encourage
more participatory democracy.
Won't you consider Making
a modest donation to help support the work and spread the word about
our free Congressional contact resource?
Why don't you tell Congress where you stand? Here, we'll make it easy for
you. All you have to do is fill in one form now and with one click we will
send your personal message to both of your senators, and your house
representative too. We'll even look them up based on your address and tell
you who they are. Just a few simple words from you mean more than any form
letter can. Please read the question carefully to make sure your vote
matches your comments.
There have been accusations that Kenneth Tomlinson, Chairman of the
Corporation for Public Broadcasting, has been acting acting as a partisan
and political operative in that capacity, has worked secretly to slant or
purge its news coverage, and has passively not even opposed decimation of
its own funding. His defenders like the direction he is taking.
If think Mr. Tomlinson should continue in his current path, vote "No",
otherwise if you believe it is important to maintain the healthy
independence of this institution, and that he is sabotaging the PBS for
political ends then vote "Yes". Even if you don't think your particular
representatives would agree with your position it is important for them to
hear from you. If you need more information to make a decision,

Our democracy is only as strong as the participation of the people.
Do your representatives only hear from you once every two or four years, assuming you vote at all?
There are members of Congress who publicly bemoan the fact that they don't hear from more of
their constituents more often. Our leaders are our generals in the political arena,
but we are their troops. They can't do battle for us against opposing interests
without being able to demonstrate our ongoing support. The People's Email Network
is constructed to facilitate communication with our elected officials.
By your participation you can establish that you are a voter who will call your
government to account at each successive election. Your views do count.
They will be heard. And most importantly, when you cast your votes in the
section above, be sure to use the ground-breaking input
functions of our website to also submit the email addresses of everyone you know. In this
way we can together mobilize the entire country to speak in the loudest possible voice.
